Why Teach Transportation in Preschool?
There are several reasons to teach transportation in preschool. A few reasons are:
- Preschoolers are often interested in vehicles and transportation.
- Children can learn about different vehicles and the functions they serve.
- A transport theme is an opportunity to teach or review basic vehicle safety information relevant to young kids. Topics may include why vehicles have car seats and seat belts.
- Transportation activities can provide opportunities to teach other important concepts, like cutting, fine motor skills, letters, and numbers.
