With summer in full swing around here, we’re outside as much as possible. My twin four year olds have always been the happiest outside, starting when they were itty bitty! Today, I’m sharing our tried and true best outside toys for four year olds.

Bikes
We have older versions of these girl and boy styled bikes with training wheels. We ride bikes nearly every day. My kids seriously love it.

Scooters
We have two scooters because my kids love them that much.
Splash Pad
My kids absolutely love this splash pad. I love that it entertains all three of them. They can run through it, sit in it, or use water toys in it.
Water pouring toys
My kids love playing with water outside on hot days. We’ve collected watering cans, buckets, pretend baking sets, and measuring cups that are great for pouring water from one container to another. These are also great beach and pool toys.
Hockey sticks
My twins love playing hockey and these sticks are great.
Bubbles
Bubbles never get old! I usually buy bubbles in bulk and we use them with wands and blowers. This is a cool recipe to make your own bubbles!

Chalk
We always have chalk around. Beyond just doodling in the driveway, it is a fun way for us to practice letter recognition and writing.
Tee Ball Set
My kids also love playing with this tee ball set. When they outgrow the tee, they can play with just the balls and bat. I expect it to last a long time!
